I found something regarding this, using '__decorating' hides the function or variable when calling it outside the class.

Hey, thanks for all the useful pointers, regarding the private methods, is there any way I can make them so they can only be used inside the class, for example when KenoAPI("NT") is called I don't want the user to have access to state_redirect

Thank you for your thoughts. I was not aware of the standard practice for date/time. In terms of private variables should I only use them when I am using multiple classes that have identical function names?
