I am currently focusing on Machine Learning and Data Science. I am a Research Assistant in Machine Learning and I love research in particular and academia in general. I am currently doing my masters in Computer Science.
Yes, as you have noticed, I am a Graduate Student. Graduate students are also GPUs (Graduate Processing Units :) ).
The best things are the things that happen accidentally. When I first graduated with a BS in Computer Science, I did not know what area of computer science I'm really excited about. I had the frustration of every fresh graduate, I was running to find a job, but ANY job, and thats the wrong thing that I did. I am writing down this story of mine to help any fresh graduate who might stumble upon it. I applied to many many jobs but things did not work out well because I did not know what I wanted. I directly applied to the masters program. At my very first semester during MS, I took the Data Science course. I really loved it and I loved my Professor a lot. As I have earlier during school days developed a huge interest in statistics I found myself liking it. Now I turned from a lost student into an ambitious one willing to continue PhD.
For all students out there, don't rush yourselves and always follow what you love!!
