My degree is CIS & Classical Studies - the art, culture, and history of "dead" languages people still use, like CoBOL, FORTRAN, Latin & (Koine)Greek.

First pass I write in bash...which is usually enough. For a more complete and complex solution, I build in Perl and leverage with Ansible, and/or maybe "k8s". Yes, I'll use Python if I must. I write C code in vi. All gods protect me from Java and recruiters with contract positions who don't read profiles.

Free time I spend with family, on Steam, or Tabletop RPG's if I find a good group. Otherwise I watch a show with the wife, tell tall tales or eat something good - I grew up in the South (FOOD=LOVE) but adore culturally diverse and authentic restaurants.

I don't work with hardware OR code at home unless it's for my wife.
