When I wrote it I was thinking that adding 0 would be a waste of time, so I should return early if DX:AX is 0, however it turned out to be a little more complicated than I originally thought that it would. I don't use it anywhere where speed matters. | |

Why is the ADD32 proc so complicated? If CX:BX is zero then the cascaded addition add ax, bx adc dx, cx can still be safely executed. It won't harm results.
