Aug 9 '16 at 19:53 comment added Graipher As soon as you have functions you don't need global variables. At least not with the global keyword. Just let the function accept them as arguments instead. This way you might even be able to reuse them.
Aug 9 '16 at 19:17 comment added colh The reason for wanting to do that is, that I am using The Great Courses to learn computer-science concepts, and the instructor insisted on using Global Variables...since we haven't learned about objects and such (got all the way to functions and that's it)...
