Thank you! It works great and is very elegant. One note, though: these classes are the logic for a bigger program that displays animation of the solution step-by-step (and displays current cost during that) and displays a chart (solution cost vs time) after animation ends. So I think it's justified to keep the TSPUtils class with just one method, getTotalTourCost(List<Point> points). Because this method is useful across modules. It would be bad to repeat the exact same code. EDIT: I missed that that you left that method public in TSPSolver. No need for utils then.
