But shorthand is not always the best way if you want to have readable code. Not only that but, not everyone is going to know about it, or be able to support it should you ever need to move it to another server. Sanitizing is still important, especially with URL parsing because of PHP injection. I don't know exactly how they do it, think it has more to do with eval users, but its always better to ensure it isn't possible. Especially if its only one extra line. | |

Also about the shorthand thing, [] instead of array(), go read php 5.4 release log ;) | |
